UK National Evaluation of Schwartz Rounds

Investigating how, why and for whom Schwartz Rounds work for healthcare staff

Researchers undertook the first national evaluation of Schwartz Rounds in the UK.  This mixed methods realist evaluation took place across a range of healthcare settings including large acute hospitals and hospices. Findings provide evidence regarding the benefits of Rounds as an intervention to support staff wellbeing and thereby improve patient care quality and practice.  Outputs include two films and an organisational guide.
